There are a lost group of islands off a forgotten coast, where no one has ever wandered. The wolves found these islands, in a desperate attempt to escape their ever-shrinking world, and these forgotten pieces of the map were transformed into their homes. Humans have long forgotten this place hidden by the mist and fog, but for the wolves it is a place of legend. The islands are their sanctuary, the last place they can turn to as the rest of the world is crumbling into ruins around them. They come from distant lands, to cross the bridge, hidden to humans but well worn to their kind, into the mysterious islands where the rules are undone and fate is rewritten.

Winter is back and more brutal than ever. Blizzards are going to be very common this season and there is a possibility that the snow could be a few feet or even more deep making it hard for wolves to walk. Prey is going to be much scarcer and by the end of the season the wolves around here are likely to be famished and emaciated. However there is still a chance to catch a good meal. If a wolf is skillful enough they could possibly catch a fish but the chances of that are slim. In all, only the strongest wolves will be able to survive this brutal winter.
p l o t: The Haunted;; a plot for old characters from CotW
Alright guys. I am sick of watching LiT die so I plan to do something about it. I and some of the staff are going to COMPLETELY redo the site. We're changing the plot, the environment in which the wolves live, etc. We're getting a new skin and everything. However I may be gone for a while due to me being very busy, which means I may or may not have internet. I will try to get on but I can't promise anything. Another thing I am very happy to announce is that Lost in Translation's very loyal member Nisa is being promoted to global moderator. She has been loyal to LiT since day one and she has tried extremely hard to get this site back up and running. Congratulations Nisa and thank you! This redo may take a while but I hope we can get LiT up and running and better than before!

This is the board where you can create your wolf. All characters must be accepted by a staff member. Also please use the form and read the biography rules.
In this board you can post a form with open spaces available for your character such as friend, enemy, etc. There will be a example in there for you to look at so that you will not be confused.
The meadow is probably the most lovely and peaceful place in the lands. It is over five miles from the ocean and is surrounded by towering oak trees. Most wolves come here just to get away from the salty ocean and some of the older wolves, come to be reminded of the old lands. There is a very worn path that weaves through the oaks that is about half a mile long. It takes time to reach the meadow but when you do, you realize the effort pays off. At the end of the path it opens up into a beautiful meadow with emerald green grass. The tall grass is beautiful but what is even more beautiful are the vivid and vibrant wildflowers that grow abundantly in the meadow. Though the meadow is thickly surrounded by large oak trees and is very secluded, the top of the meadow is completely open, letting the warm sunshine shine down. There is not much danger at all in the meadow so many mother wolves come here to simply let their pups run around. The meadow is also a good place for pups to practice their hunting skills for there is a large amount of field mice. Overall the meadow is a very beautiful place that many wolves love to come to, to just get some peace and quiet.
Here graphic designers may post threads offering to make manips and graphics for fellow members, and members may post a request for a designer to fill. Members may also seek critique or help with anything graphics related, or display some of their recent artwork.
All old and finished posts and threads will be relocated here for reference and reading enjoyment. There is no posting allowed in this board, but if an active thread was moved here by accident, alert a staff member and they will move it back into the IC boards.
